Massachusetts Teachers Association – “Add, K-12”
This piece was commission by the Massachusetts Teachers Association to rally teachers, educational support staff and university employees to work to defeat Governor Romney’s draconian cuts to education in the 2003 state budget. Each piece included three tear-off cards that were individually lasered with the teacher’s name and address and a message tailored specifically to the recipient (governor, state senator or state representative). The version of the piece presented here was targeted toward K-12 employees – a similar piece that used images of older students was sent to higher education members. This campaign helped MTA mitigate some of the worst cuts ever seen and activate their membership to participate in the legislative process on behalf of public education. |
