Planned Parenthood Action Fund – “Somebody”

In 2000, this piece was on the leading edge of what has become a huge issue across the United States – the push to make sure schools are teaching medically accurate sex education. The images in “Somebody” are designed to appeal to the women targeted by Planned Parenthood in Washington’s 2nd Congressional District. It delivers the message that we owe it to our students to tell them the whole truth about their bodies and their options. Using real kids – two in homemade costumes – and language that kids might use, this piece helped elect Rick Larsen to Congress and promoted giving our students the tools they need to make responsible decisions.
