SEIU Local 521 – “Clear”

In the spring of 2010, three well-qualified candidates were fighting it out in the Democratic Primary election for the 21st Assembly District. Encompassing Northern Santa Clara County and Southern San Mateo County, the diverse district runs from the bayside community of Redwood City to the leafy suburbs of San Jose. In the midst of the contentious final month of the campaign, TBW's longstanding clients from SEIU Local 521 approached us with a request to design a mailpiece on behalf of their endorsed candidate, Supervisor Rich Gordon, which would effectively communicate his commitment to coastal protection in an attractive and memorable way. By designing the "Clear" piece we underscored Supervisor Gordon's commitment to the environment by reminding voters of the beauty of San Mateo's coastline. With this piece we're proud to have played a small role in Supervisor Gordon's strong victory and ascension to the California State Assembly.
